So, my in-laws came this past weekend and my MIL and I decided to go and see a movie. She had seen Hairspray and said it was so good, so we decided to go see it. It was GREAT! It was such a feel good show and the music is enough to make you want to get up and dance the whole time. John Travolta was so funny and Zac Efron is so darling. I have the soundtrack and we listen to it in the car and boogie. So, I'm a big geek I know it. All I have to say is if you haven't seen it then you need to go and see it. So you want to know something even better, I took my girls and Lindsay and her kids to see it on Monday. Maddie was up and dancing the whole time. Everyone was looking at her and smiling. Makenna said "Mom she is embarassing me! Make her sit down." It was the first experience I have had with her getting embarassed and telling me about it. Makenna asked me in the car last night when we get to go and see the movie again. It hasn't even been a week since we saw it. I told her we would have to wait until it comes to the cheap theater. Then the 1988 Hairspray came on t.v. the other night. I hadn't ever seen it so we recorded it. I didn't realize that it wasn't a musical and it wasn't nearly as good at all. Actually it was kind of lame. Makenna and I are all about the good dancing ones. We like to watch High School Musical. I don't know exactly what she loves about the show other than the music and such but I sure like to watch Troy Bolton. I am a super nerd. Can't wait to watch number 2 in a few weeks. Nothing wrong with a grown up thinking that a 19 year old boy is cute is there? Don't answer that. Well maybe I could seek a little help. Just go see the show!! I would love to have a little chat about it. Guess I should get on with life and all the great things that come with being a mom. Hope you enjoyed my story.
