Peachy Pie

Its official! I have finally tasted the most talked about pie of the season. The fresh peach pie from Crowshaw Pies. I have heard all kinds of great things about this pie, and how hard it is to get, so I called and low and behold I got my hands on one. I had to call right at 9 in the morning and see if they had any left for the day. They said they had one available and that I could pick it up after 11:00. My darling friend Carolyn had said that she would love to taste these yummy pies too, so after we went and picked it up, we went to her house to have a pie picnic. It was great. Not as good as I was thinking it was going to be, or for the price it was, but it was good. I think that the company was even better. I hadn't seen Carolyn forever and it was so much fun to see her and visit with her. It you haven't had a chance to have a fresh peach pie this summer, make your own!

I love to see the Temple...

My sister in law Cyndi was here the past few days, and she just got a call from her Stake President saying that she can go back out on her mission. She has finally been released to go since she had knee surgery. She flies out on Wednesday morning and I am so excited for her. She has never been to the temple here, so she and I went this morning. It was so great to go with her. I love to go and feel the spirit there. It is so beautiful and I'm glad that we got to go and do that together.

Cute New Pictures

I finally got my pictures back from Cody and Matt. Actually, I just got them from their website, but I am so excited about how cute they are. I wanted to share them with you. I think they are cute. Hope you like them. If you want to see them all, click on the photography-Cody/Matt link under the places I visit and check them all out. Seth has that hat glued to his head. Literally, he falls asleep with it on and then we take it off and he puts it right back on the minute he wakes up. He took it off for a minute yesterday and I looked at him funny and said hey buddy where is your hat? I wanted him to put it back on because he looked so different. He has been wearing it since the 5th of July almost every single day. I'm glad that Cody got one of him wearing it since that is how he looks now.

Pooped

Is there anything worse than changing poopy diapers? I don't know how to get my kids interested in going in the potty. What can I do? I need some serious help!! I think I already changed 7 dirty ones before noon. Nothing better than diarrhea in a diaper. I thought that the stomache thing wasn't supposed to last more than a week. I guess not! I heard on the news that little ones aren't even allowed in the pools up in Northern Utah in a bunch of different places. Its crazy all the sickness that has been going around. I sure haven't enjoyed it. Maybe I can have my mom help me out with Seth. That would be good to get at least one down... All I know is that I am poooped out!!

I've Been Duped!

Ok so I may have been the very last one to figure it out, but my sister finally pointed out the awful truth, that Zac Efron wasn't really singing in the first High School Musical movie. After she told me I went back and listened closer and yep she was right. I also read the articles that he had said that he wasn't allowed to sing in the first movie. So here I am listening to the Hairspray album and I think I like his voice just as well or even better than the dude they used in the first movie. I was delirious. Just teasing I really don't care all that much. Sarah made a point of telling me that he didn't sing in the first one and I just defended him and said yes he did. That wouldn't be right for him to not sing, and I left her a message and what not and told her he was definitely singing. We talked yesterday and she told me that she was RIGHT and to look it up on the internet and he admits that he didn't get to sing. So, if I have led any of you astray by telling you that he sings in the first HSM I am so sorry. Yes, he does sing in the 2nd and in Hairspray. If you feel the need to compare, you will find that his voice in Hairspray is very good, so I don't know why they didn't let him sing. It sounds a lot more like his speaking voice. I really don't know why I am making such a big deal about this. What is my problem. I can usually tell better, but I didn't listen very closely I guess. Thanks to Sarah for pointing out the TRUTH to me. I feel so much better now that I know the real story. Now my life can go on...
We are now down to one chicken. Either a cat or someone got to Buzz Bait last night. Joe found the chicken out by his truck all torn up. What in the world are we going to do with one chicken? I know, we are going to fatten it up and I told Makenna we would have her for Thanksgiving. Anyone want a hand fed chicken for Thanksgiving dinner? Call me and we can have you over. Doesn't that sound great? Its really too bad that the big one got attacked because she would have been so much tastier. The funny thing about that comment is if someone had told me that I would say something like that about a pet a few months ago, I wouldn't have believed them. Now that they have slowly died off I think that I am not so much attached. How could anyone be attached to those lovely creatures? I really wasn't.
I am so glad the kids are back in school and I can have a breather for a few hours a day. Seth and I are good buddies. We have been going walking with my friend Stasie when we drop the little ones off at kindergarten. We do a little jaunt and get to chat. It has been great. Maddie has the whole week off for SEPs. That is just wrong. She just started school for heavens sake. I need that BREAK. Someone needs to make this better for everyone. I guess that the teachers need to test etc...but I don't have to like it. Joe is back at his old job and is liking it. All is well here.
