Buddy Walk

We had our annual Buddy Walk today at the Pine View Middle School track. It was a lot of fun and we had quite a few people come out. Actually it was at a pavillion right by the middle school, but close enough. Marilyn Saline and her family made us a huge pancake breakfast for those that came and it was mighty tasty. They are such a neat family to help us out all the time. They have this great big cooking stove and they could feed an army. I am so glad that it is over. I have been pretty stressed about the whole thing, especially since it was my first year to have the Buddy Walk since I have been the president. Glad that it wasn't a flop. At least I didn't think that it was. I am greatful that Suzie Smith (president of the State Board of the UDSF) came all the way down here to come to our walk. What a neat lady. Maybe someday I will be as on the ball as she is. I am going to start planning for our next buddy walk in January so it will be good!!

Finally Over

I am happy to say that the boutique is over and that is such a relief. I sold 4 of my alphabet books and about 20 cards. I sold a halloween 12x12 layout and a few other little things. It was good for me. I am glad that I made those books and posted them here. I am going to be making more of the alphabet books so if anyone wants one... Now I just need to get the buddy walk over with this weekend and I won't have to worry about anything other than my own life for a little while. It was great to have all that stuff to do to keep busy, but my house was starting to suffer, not that it doesn't anyway. Lets be honest. Laundry and I do not get along at all!! It is for the birds.

Potty Trained at long last!!

I am so happy to say that my little man is now officially potty trained. He told me last week that he wanted to wear his underwear and hasn't been in a diaper or pull up since. WE had a wee bit of trouble with the whole poop thing, but now we have it all under control and he is going like a champ. I was really starting to worry that he was never going to have the desire to live among the normal 3 year old folks, but I have been pleasantly surprised by his change of attitude towards the toilet. He is such a great little dude. He is my best buddy. I have included a funny picture that I took of him chilling on the toilet a few months ago. I won't tell you who he is mimicking, but you can take a wild stab at it.

Baby Max

My sister Jill had her baby early this morning at 3:30 a.m. (October 7, 2007) He was 4 weeks early because she had super high blood pressure and protein in her urine etc... She hasn't been well for a while. Her liver and kidneys have been kind of on the fritz for some time now. Anyway, she named him Max. I love, love, love that name. I wanted a Max, but Joe was never going to have it. I'm so glad that someone got to use it in the family. For those of you that don't know, my mom's name is Maxine and she goes by Max. I just love the name. I just wanted to tell you all how excited I am for another Preston grandbaby that wasn't birthed by me. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have another baby someday, just glad it wasn't today!! Welcome to the family, Max. I will post pictures as soon as I get some.
I am going up to visit her this week since the kids are out of school for UEA. I sent Maddie up already to visit grandma, on Friday, with my cousin Lindsay. Of course I have to go up and retrieve her. I can't wait to see everyone. It seems that I get up there less and less because of school and gas prices. I am so glad that it is within driving range, however. I will post lots of fun pictures soon!
